Eat warm mince pies with Stilton while there are still mince pies in the shops / cupboard / secret stash. So good.

Sounds fab but my mouth is full of camembert and mini stollens.

I have had a rummage in the kitchen. I could do out of date Yule Log with Babybel.

Dh has spent Xmas trying to make me try Christmas cake and Stilton so I guess based on that yanbu

...just bought hestons orange xmas pud from wairose for 2.69. Husband and i thought about it...buts its out of date in april...so....he reasoned we could have it in a month or two. I give it a week, two at most!

I won't be trying it, although I shall be making more mince pies in a fortnight ready for DH coming home. I will not be telling him to put bloody Stilton on them though!

Mince pie with ginormous modest spoonful of brandy butter is much better.

Port and mince pie ( very good)
Mince pie and stilton (not very good - edible but very wrong - not a boak, I could force it down).

Wanders off to kitchen for more port to take away the taste . And heal my broken heart - DH is taking DS to the airport - it gave me sopmething to do [sob].
