I've started a low carbs and no sugar diet today. I've managed to get to this time with out caving. Which is good as I've an issue with chocolate and for the past two months I've had it for breakfast!

I'm heavier now than when I gave birth a year ago and dh need to lose weight as well , infact more than me, but I really hate my body at the moment.

I notice the time and remarked how well I'd done, dd (18) said well done .

Dh then went in to the kitchen and brought in the fucking barrel of haribio and stated laughing when he came back in!

Dd said "oh I'll have a packet " so he threw her some.

I said " don't do that, I'm trying really hard"

Dh replied " remember when I was trying to diet and you asked me to bring you a KFC home?"

It was two fucking years ago!

I've stormed off to bed, shouting they were both out of order . Honestly I'm brimming back tears - it's pathetic I know but I can really feel bad sugar cravings and head aches. There is a jar of Nutella down stairs, which I could just take a spoon to.

I heard dh saying to dd " she needs help her! "

I know IBU but it fucking sucks!!!

There's a message board on MN for anyone who wants more intel. I can't speak of the long term health benefits or otherwise cos there haven't been any longitudinal studies, afaik. I have hypoglycemia though so was cognisant of potential pitfalls but aside from the single occasion where I tried to run the two days together, and suffered a rather dramatic hypo on a train, it's been pretty smooth sailing so far.

I have very little will power when it comes to food so only 2 days a week of relative misery works well for me. Grin

You'll feel better tomorrow, day 3 of low carbing and your body's getting used to it, it's always the hardest. Have a good nights sleep, ignore them, and tomorrow will be better.

Dh replied " remember when I was trying to diet and you asked me to bring you a KFC home?"

---and therein lies your answer. It didn't mean much to you but he's never forgotten it.

your response just shows how emotional dieting and food relationships can be - you're doing well be proud!
