Most of Mumsnet's threads of shame are in Aibu, and 90% of what is posted in that topic is nonsensical, rage-driven rubbish.

Why does so much detritus get archived for posterity, when the usually far wittier and warmer musings in chat automatically get binned?

I know they have a disclaimer re the ability to ascertain the credentials of people posting but in reality this could be ripped to pieces in court by a decent brief.

Hi OP, good question and, to my shame, I'm afraid I don't know the answer - so I'm going to flag this thread to tech and the rest of MNHQ as I'm sure their collective wisdom will be able to shed some light on it.
