I've just logged on to have a look at the decent articles, only to be met with sexist, ignorant, bigoted nonsense.

It makes my blood boil. NOT going to read it EVER again. That is a promise.

Why oh why do women (and men) put up with the sexist and stereotypical views that they and other newspapers project of women in the general populous?

Mob mentality? Really. Where?

It's only a newspaper and a website. It's all so easy to ignore.

So many on here post a link and then make up some reason as to why they just found themselves on the Daily Mail website. Then go on to blast it. Confused

They must be clicking and reading every day.

The Sun is a newspaper I never read so I have no knowledge as to what is in it or what they have on thir website.

My Dgran reads the DM. How can a complete stranger judge what sort of person she is because of this and wipe her out as not having her own opinions and just believing everything she reads. I could get Angry but will Grin instead.

Oh my poor Dgran. Almost 100 and a stranger has a piss poor lower opinion of her. Shock You would actually learn a lot from her, she is very wise. Very interesting life she has led as well.

I read the DM website. I'm not racist, homophobic etc. I know what I believe in, I know when to take things with a pinch of salt, I'm an adult after all.

I like the easy reading of the articles and the mix of news stories, gossip and human interest. So sue me.

An ex boyfriend of mine was a Times journalist, I met him when he was in the Groucho Club reading The Sun.

He said all the papers were crap anyway and we should take them with a pinch of salt.

A friend's daughter is a Daily Mail journalist. Apparently no, they definitely do not believe what they are writing. They know perfectly well it is a game.

Just a shame some of the public don't realise (MIL, I am looking at you here Hmm)

Whenever I see the headlines on the Mail (and the Express, who are just as bad, but more on the down low) I laugh and wonder how on earth anyone swallows it.

There was one before Christmas (but this was the Express), no word of a lie:

Three months of winter!

Me and my Dad saw in in the supermarket, looked at each other and burst out laughing.

Three months of winter? Really? Next they'll be telling us that Spring follows Winter. That Winter is a season.

Yet there will be people who read that and panic over it. As if we don't have at least three months of winter each year anyway.

Excellent debunking of their scare tactics on Bulgarian and Rumanian immigration here - zelo-street.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/the-romanians-are-coming-or-maybe-not.html . In fact the whole of the Zelo Street blog is worth a read.

notanotherusername1 did I state that the DM's readership are women hating arseholes? Their 'journalism' reeks misogyny. They should be properly regulated IMO.

I can choose not to read it (which I now have) but that doesn't take away the fact that the DM thrives on mob mentality. It's how it sells it's newspapers.
