to boil my Mooncup along with the peas?

DH says he feels a little bit queasy about it. I don't really see the problem. It's greener than boiling it separately.

I suppose if he was steaming the peas that might be different.

Sound perfectly sensible to me, it will help you to regain the nutrients Wink

Even the best jokes are a bit tedious when repeated over and over again, Smile.

I had a relative (back in the 1960s) who proudly showed me her large new saucepan, in which she'd boiled a load of potatoes for a family lunch. 'It's really good,' she explained. 'It's so big and really useful, as I can boil up the kids' knickers and our handkerchiefs in it too ...'

Yup, I'd been a guest at that lunch ... and she wasn't joking. BLEUGH! Angry

DoYouLikeMyBaubles · 01/01/2014 17:49

I thought we'd stopped these

DropDeadThread · 01/01/2014 17:58

It wasn't meant to be "one of those". It was just a funny exchange DH and I had which I thought I'd share because it made us laugh. It's OK though because the fun police are out in force!

Just don't put it in the dishwasher. If pet food bowls stent allowed...

ALittleStranger · 01/01/2014 18:08

My ex used to get angry that I didn't have a seperate mooncup saucepan. He'd eye every pan suspiciously and ask if the mooncup had been in it. I don't think he understood washing-up FFS.

RalphGnu · 01/01/2014 18:08

I bung my toilet brush in with the carrots- DP pulls a face but I find it gives the veg a somewhat nutty flavour.

mrspremise · 01/01/2014 18:34

actual tears Grin

DropDeadThread · 01/01/2014 18:55

mrspremise I suspect some other posters have also cried actual tears over this thread, just ones of outrage and disgust Grin

Anyway, I somehow managed to stomach dinner after all that (mince and tatties with ladygarden peas, yum) but I've yet to deal with the Mooncup. I suppose I could pop it into the kettle ... or maybe not!

Not with peas, I suggest cauliflower as the peas may cause staining.

No, you want his pants in with the peas...cheesy peas, yum :)

giraffesCantSledge · 01/01/2014 19:21

can you cook beetroot with your mooncup - would turn it a nice purple colour!

DropDeadThread · 01/01/2014 19:29

Oooooh giraffes that's a good idea! Except DH hates beetroot, and while there's more to life than cunnilingus, I'm not that environmentally conscious.

OP posts:
giraffesCantSledge · 01/01/2014 19:31

But purple is so pretty!

quirrelquarrel · 02/01/2014 15:00

would add a tasty bit of protein to the peas though....cmon open your minds people

why waste time making fancy sauces? just use another common household object for your own flavoursome jus!
