Just asking. I have quite a lot of them.

I don't think you can. because of the metal base.

ilovepowerhoop · 29/12/2013 17:40

you could put them in our recycling as ours takes cardboard and tins as well as plastics

LadyKatherine · 29/12/2013 17:40

I presume so as our recycling guys take them whenever we've put them in our recycling box. Not sure how to sort them though due to plastic lid, cardboard tube and metal base. We just put them in whole and they get taken. Confused

Long-haul Wifi?

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 29/12/2013 18:47

If you have the little ikea coloured beakers/cups then Pringles lids fit exactly and transform them into excellent snack carriers.

Monty27 · 29/12/2013 18:48

I use the lids for cat food tins, great fit :)

Lovebargains · 29/12/2013 18:49

I take the metal base out and recycle the card tube

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 29/12/2013 18:50

Empty Pringles containers and lids are also excellent for storing small cars, dinosaurs, crayons, craft beads and bits, Lego bits and other small children stuff. They can be re-covered with a sheet of coloured paper and decorated with stickers if you want a quick project to amuse small DC whilst having a crafty MN session.

dementedma · 29/12/2013 20:13

Local nursery might take them.

NadiaWadia · 29/12/2013 20:20

Our local council specifically mentions that they won't take Pringles tubes for recycling.

Every council seems to have different systems and rules, though.

ShadowFall · 29/12/2013 21:03

Our local council specifically states that they do take Pringles tubes in the recycling bin on their recycling A-Z table.

So looks like it all depends on where you live.

ClaimedByMe · 29/12/2013 21:16

Keep them for when the school spring it on you that need as many tubes as possible in the next 24 hours Angry

FudgefaceMcZ · 29/12/2013 21:22

Yes. Mine are usually recycled into mess, sorry 'artistic home-made models' in kids room. But I hear the council will collect them too.
