Hi, have nc for privacy and because I am ashamed to admit we are poor biscuit, yoni massage, fanjo, mn royalty etc I am trying to prove I have been here long enough and I am not a troll

Just wondering what is cheaper, I've got a baby and lots of clothes need to dry and we don't have the heating on and don't want to use the tumble dryer because we can't afford it.
But I need those clothes to dry and they have been there for 2 days and nothing. Temperature inside the flat is 15 degrees Celsius. No garden.

You're lucky to have a flat that is 15 without heating!

If you have gas heating, definitely use the heating, it's easilycheaper per unit.

Even with electric I would personally go with some heating; you only need to get up to 17-18 and you are killing 2 birds with one stone. A lot of stuff will dry in 24-36 hours at 18C.

It's actually quite cheap to run a tumble dryer, especially if it's a newish one. It's not like when you go to the laundrette and have to shovel 20p's into the driers. Grin.

I am sure it must be a lot cheaper than putting the heating on.
Make sure all the filters are clean and have the drier fairly full as it's more economical than running it with a few things in.

I'm sure you already have checked OP, but are you sure you are on cheapest tariff etc? And that you are getting best rate in your bank account ( Halifax reward gives £5 a month but don't touch with a barge pole if you might go overdrawn!)
