...or are the sales rubbish? (lighthearted)

Fairly lightheaded as it is the first thread I've started in AIBU Grin

Admittedly I've not logged in every shop, but for example the fragrance gift sets in Boots are the ones that teenagers wear when they first buy perfume. The decent make up isn't reduced. The Next sale has stuff in a size 6 or the stuff that nobody bought first time around in 2010. M&S' is full of old lady clothes. Monsoon's has the stuff where the hem is coming down or the fabric has snagged.
AIBU or am I missing a trick?

I was in gap yesterday trying to get stuff for dd and the polyester crap they had on sale wasn't worthy of primark...

Bought mostly full price stuff yesterday - it was cheaper than the nastier sale stuff.

Shops weren't as busy as expected either, about standard Saturday busy.

Went yesterday and sales were crap. Blatant tat from seasons ago out on the rails.
Got a nice woolley hat in New Look but that was it.

There is a reason nobody wanted it at full price...

I got more this year in the Next sale than I did last year, but I did get there earlier. I got quite a few basic tops and jeans etc for the DC plus some work clothes for me.

Lots of stuff I liked in Debenhams, but I was a bit Hmm when I realised that some things that I bought there with 50% off in November now only had 30% off. How does that work? I did get a few things for myself and DD though.

M&S was a major disappointment, especially as their fitting rooms were closed. I was expecting it in Next but didn't realise that M&S did it too and I am less sure of my size in there.

I did get some Lush stuff half price which I am pleased with.

I think my best sale buys were a Boden blazer at half price and two Great Plains fine knit jumpers at half price. But they were all online and not on the High Street.

I managed to get a nice pair of ankle boots, a top and a couple of nighties from next, but that was it really. Had a look yesterday around town and it was all really crap. Don't know why I bothered
