I think i have a UTI. I am avoiding going to the doctors and trying to drink lots of fluid to flush it out.

I'm don't know if in being rational or if my fear of doctors etc is skewing my judgement.

I feel really weird but i haven't been sleeping so that might be that?

Am i being stupid. Seriously if i am just tell me. I don't mind.

Glad you saw a doc but in future if it is just cystitis then you may be able to get something from the chemist - they do cranberry powders which usually work for me. I also use something called waterfall d mannose which are really hard to take (you have to take about 6 tablets at once) but at the first hint of a UTI I take them and I now rarely have to go to the docs with anything

Uti can develop into kidney infections which can be very serious and painful.

I'm glad you went but do follow up your sample results.

I had ab's for a iro last January, sample sent off and I heard nothing. Over the weekend I got worse and worse as it became a kidney infection. The results had come back showing I needed different ab's but my gp was off and nobody else checked. By the Monday I was in a right state.

I'm really prone to uti's now and only ab's work. Although dramatically reducing my sugar intake and increasing the amount of water I drink has.

I didn't know that cranberry juice was a preventative and not a potential cure so thanks to those that pointed it out - useful to know!
