To NOT be thrilled at having a 6 foot inflatable plastic T-Rex in the house?

One of DHs bright ideas for DD (she's nearly 12 !!). Here's my main reasons:-

1.) I have an average size house (3 bed semi) i.o.w. not that big!
2).On an average day there is enough crap hanging about the place courtesy of 2 children and a DH.
3) Crap had been moved into the garage to make way for the Christmas tree and pressies. For 2 days I was enjoying my 'extra' space, it almost felt like my living room was the Royal Albert hall I had so much room ( well, a bit more) now that space is taken up by 'Rex'
4) Rex is plastic, most mums know the toxic smell of plastic toys, well imagine 6 feet of it. It smells like a 1000 Barbie dolls.

It's either me or the bloody dinosaur so I've suggested they teach it to cook, shop, wash clothes and all the other daily crap mums do as I am going on a very long cruise if it's not popped shifted soon.

YABU.

I think your DH and the dinosaur will be very happy together without you.

i may have to buy the dinosaur for my nephew! revenge for harry styles Xmas Grin

BakeOLiteGirl · 27/12/2013 20:58

YAB well U. I nearly bought one of these for my DS this Christmas and we live in a two bed flat with no living room.

The only reason I didn't was because I forgot so thanks for remaining me Smile

I came very close to buying that for my friend's little boy as he loves dinosaurs. She does have a nice big house with a field out the back, but on balance I think it's better that I didn't give in to the temptation Grin.

Yeah, that would be getting a slow puncture if it had appeared in our house. Something tiny like a pin should do it?

Caitlin17 · 27/12/2013 23:54

Could it live in the garden?( If tied down, it'd disappear in tonight's wind)

Can we have a picture?

Caitlin17 · 27/12/2013 23:57

Oh sorry, just seen the link. It's horrible but I'd be very tempted to keep it in the living room and wait for visitors to be too polite to comment on it.

Topaz25 · 28/12/2013 00:07

It sounds awesome, I want one! I can see how it would get in the way though, can't it live in her room? Eventually she will get bored of it and you can deflate it for storage.

snuffykins · 28/12/2013 00:15

That actually sounds worse than te time my parents had a life size mdf cutout of my sister is their hallway for over a month after her 21st. We lost count o the number of people who walked in and thought it was her so said hello to it.

I suggest a pin.
