still got this weird sore tongue virus!

So Dd got a sore tongue about 10 days ago, also has a cough, tongue ulcers and a sore throat.
I got exactly the same symptoms and have been suffering for about 5 days now. Yesterday Dh got a sore tongue and now poor little ds.
Hand foot and mouth maybe?
No sores on hands or feet though. Just painful ulcers on tip and sides of tongue. Will be off to the docs tomorrow to see what he thinks.
Anyone had this?

I had this a month ago after recovering from flu . Went to GP who said it was gingivitis , gave me antibiotics . No better after few days so went to see dentist who said it was not gingivitis but because I was run down so he gave me mouthwash and anti bacterial tablets . No better after several more days so back to see different GP who said it was the herpes virus and prescribed avracil . It finally cleared up after 2 weeks of agony , not able to eat or speak , I lost a stone in weight . It also cost me 2 lots of wasted prescriptions as I am one of the unfortunate minority who pay for them .

I too have had a sore mouth and tongue for about a week - just put it down to being stressed and tired! Think I'll see someone now. Thanks.

I've had the sore tongue thing for a few days. Assumed it was being run down. Actually it's getting better now. No cough.
