The disabled loo/baby change of a well known family type restaurant. Whilst using most surfaces (the ones that more vulnerable people may need to steady themselves or baby's may be led on) to sprinkle your drugs on.

If that's your thing fair enough but wouldn't it be more appropriate to do it somewhere else?

Actually, since DS picked up a used needle in the local bus station saying "what's this, mummy?" I have to admit I have completely run out of sympathy. Yes it's an addiction, but no I don't give a shit. My son is more important, the poor sods who have to do the needle patrols at the crack of dawn in the local parks are more important (I have a friend who works for the council - our town has a needle exchange scheme, and it doesn't appear to make any sodding difference at all). And funnily enough, the ex addicts I've spoken to actually agree that drug addicts are selfish. (I'd have shooting galleries and prescribed heroin and let them go to hell in a handcart without impinging on my child).

ananda don't get me wrong, I have a lot of sympathy for people whose lives have been blighted by drug addiction. I don't consider drug addiction a disease anymore than I do nicotine addiction,which is of course also a drug.

It is a choice to do the drugs. And those choices can lead to awful, tragic consequences. I truly feel sorry for people addicted to such substances.

But why is it a disease to be addicted to heroin but not nicotine? Is it the illegality of the former that makes it so?

Its annoying and inappropriate as well as dangerous if children are around.

I'd be having a word with the manager - they may have suspicions themselves and would likely kick anyone out if they suspected drug mis-use on the premises. We used to in the family pub I worked in. Any sign of it. Straight out. No reasons given. Just out.

Labelling people with addictions as "freaks" is definitely harsh, and dehumanising.

I don't do it myself and I don't think particularly well of people who do.

Pissed up people who take drugs in places like that are quite likely to be prone to all manor of strange behaviour.

I have never known anyone to leave so much left over if drunk they would be more inclined to lick it off the toilet seat than leave it
