To possibly kill my DH if there is no gift under that bloody tree

I have been asking dh for months about ds gift from us. We give the "big" gift from us and the bits from Father Xmas. No response, "i dunno", "I'll let you know". Also negative responses to my suggestions

Well, it is Xmas eve here where we are.

Yesterday, after having done all the gifts, I popped into a store between shopping, (he was in the car), and bought DS a ds 3 d xl. Whilst at the checkout, one from being served tbh, DH came into the store and made a bit of a scene about how he didnt approve of it as he wants ds to be more active etc and told me to take it back to where I got it. DH has an obsession against gaming and electronic for kids and I did know that. It was just so easy. It was there, it was done.

Now this was a tad embarrasing but I did take it back to the shelf.

So, I had ds gift there in my hot little hand and now we are giftless again. He claims he will "have a look" today and is after a bike. He even said he may get it a day or so after Xmas. To which, I flipped.

If there is no gift under that bloody tree I may kill him.

This isn't normal-he's being an absolute knob about this and if this is how he is normally I'd seriously question what you're getting out of being with him? Your subsequent posts seem to suggest he doesn't do stuff with his ds either, so what does he do?

I actually think the gift voucher thing would work with ds. He is a canny little sod.

This isnt usual, although I do often get some mild, not in front of the kids, disapproval of my choice of gift. Which I usually ignore.
I dont know what his deal is. Hmm
I'm chasing him out to the shops NOW.

Yes, we have a bike and no corpses. Thanks for asking.

yeay! [phew]

I am glad he got it sorted.

However - this was a gift from BOTH of you. So surely you get just as much say as your DH, an equal choice. It should not be him directing what happens and vetoing your ideas. What if you did the same to any he came up with? He sounds very controlling.
