I can't be arsed quite frankly. Just finished all other wrapping and these will be so small and fiddly.

Is it really bad not to wrap them?

If you were a child, would you really want to see what you had!!
Seriously just wrap!

Freddiefrog · 22/12/2013 23:00

The chocolate coins and the chocolate Santa are the only things I haven't wrapped.

Everything else gets wrapped

nilbyname · 22/12/2013 23:02

Wrap

meganorks · 22/12/2013 23:04

Wrap

Tikkamasala · 22/12/2013 23:05

I don't wrap for stockings

TheDoctrineOfSanta · 22/12/2013 23:07

Wrap.

NadiaWadia · 22/12/2013 23:07

I would wrap (but not the choc coins, Satsuma type things as others have said). It kind of takes away a bit of the surprise if you don't, as they can then see straight away what they've got. But I wouldn't bother wrapping particularly tidily or anything. Scrap bits of wrapping paper will do.

I have just finished my wrapping and am delighted with myself! Usually I end up doing it on Christmas Eve late.

EBearhug · 22/12/2013 23:08

Wrapped, apart from satsumas, chocolate coins and nuts.

Not that I have seen any satsumas this year.

ChatNicknameUnavailable · 22/12/2013 23:08

We never wrap Santa's gifts. He has far too much to deliver to wrap gifts too.

He leaves a stocking of unwrapped gifts on the end of the beds and a Christmas sack of gifts downstairs, also unwrapped.

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 22/12/2013 23:11

Like iamusually I think wrap with tissue (no sellotape). A different colour for each DC.

Coins and satsumas and chocolate santas should NEVER be wrapped.

NadiaWadia · 22/12/2013 23:11

So you don't wrap anything, chat?

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 22/12/2013 23:12

Ebearhug YES! Where are all the satsumas?! I can only find mingy clementines in the shops.

MajesticWhine · 22/12/2013 23:14

If you wrap, don't you have to make sure it's completely different wrapping paper that wasn't used for other non-santa presents? Am I the only idiot worrying about this?

ViviDeHohohoVoir · 22/12/2013 23:18

Definitely wrap them!

I remember the joy of the Christmas stocking presents, knowing they were from Father Christmas and having no idea what was in them.

I used to wake up in the night, feel the presents and try and guess what they were didn't dare to open them though
It was extra exciting!

Plus, if you wrap them well it'll buy you some extra time in bed :)

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 22/12/2013 23:19

YANBU Majestic.

NadiaWadia · 22/12/2013 23:19

They had some Satsumas in Tesco a few days ago, anyway. But they do seem to be becoming rarer, don't they? Clementines are such a pain to peel.

emptychair · 22/12/2013 23:21

Santa does not have time to wrap any of the gifts that come to our house!

ilovevenice · 22/12/2013 23:23

We wrap with tissue paper but using elastic bands instead of sellotape (wierd tradition from DH's family but actually does make it easier and you can reuse the bands and the paper year on year)...

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 22/12/2013 23:24

Thanks Nadia I will have a look.

I'm sure clementines used to be the rare ones.

I don't like them as much, faff to peel and they are too perfumed and make your hands smell.

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 22/12/2013 23:24

However I have canvassed opinion on this and everyone else (excepting some discerning individuals on this thread) seems to like clementines more, so what can the supermarkets do?! Sad

TheDoctrineOfSanta · 22/12/2013 23:25
AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 22/12/2013 23:26

Santa and his elves do not have elastic bands. MADNESS!

Freddiefrog · 22/12/2013 23:29

Majestic - yes. I always buy a couple of rolls just for Santa wrapping.

Beady eyed youngest daughter clocked it one year when I ran out of normal wrapping paper and wrapped a couple of presents for Dh's nephew in the Santa paper.

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 22/12/2013 23:32

Schoolgirl error Freddie

SugarHut · 22/12/2013 23:33

Majestic DS (4.5 last yr) asked why Father Christmas used the same wrapping paper as Mummy.

I will not be making that rookie mistake again.

Stocking pressies in different paper. Presents from Mummy in different paper. Presents from FC in different paper. Tree presents in different paper. Presents to all other family who will be opening on Christmas morning with DS in different paper.
