I haven't actually done this yet, but am seriously considering it having found:
2 beer bottles & duvet in living room
bedroom windows open (I've got the heating on)
snacks ravaged (after proper meals have been declined)
I'll think of more - these are just the tip of the iceberg! Feel free to add your gripes...

I am currently hosting a teenage sleepover.

I seem to be getting away lightly.

So far, I've only suffered a lecture friendly advice on how rubbish my internet power is, and how I could improve it.

Aw, Maryz, he's left you with your sense of humour intact. A full time job is definitely part of the solution. Mine had that & then applied to & got into Uni because he wanted to, rather than because I wanted him to. I'm off to dredge the sofa now, got 6 to feed tomorrow (& they're just the ones I know about...)

Pours small wine in Lynette's honour. Mine are home and quiet tonight.

Mine is only just a teenager and most of his mates haven't got there yet but I seem to have achieved the position of 'slightly scary but a tiny bit cool Mum' and I don't know how. It will hopefully stand me in good stead for the next 6 years though Grin
It's possible that the (real) cauldron in the hall and the fact that DS let it drop that I'm Pagan (and they apparently think it's really 'sick') has something to do with it and also maybe the fact that I don't hesitate to tell any of them when they're being stupid. Knowing about computer games also helps.
However getting pissed and smoking in my house will not be tolerated so I hope they don't think that they will get away with it..

NearTheWindmill · 20/12/2013 22:24

Noooo somethingkinda alcohol ans smoking weren't going to happen in my house either. DS is 19 on Weds - he has only ever smoked tobacco. We have done well there is a packet of marlborough Lights and a small bottle of Vodka in his stocking He leaves us on 3rd Jan for NZ and I will not see him until August. I will miss him

LadyBeagleEyes · 20/12/2013 22:41

Sam here NeartheWindmill, a packet of Amberleaf in his stocking or he just nicks mine and a bottle of Jack Daniels under the tree.
He's home from uni but away till Sunday at his pals house.
They took him on holiday this year, so he went off with a bottle of Champagne for them which he bought himself as a thank you.
He does have a lot of good points.

They are useful when they come of age when you fancy a bottle of wine aren't they?
