"9 sleeps till Christmas Eve"
Am I forgiven if I explain I was talking about how often to change the kids' bedding?

worraI have just genuinely lol'd at 'cuntibobs'

StealthPolarBear · 14/12/2013 23:53

sorry sorry sorry
I have been considering my position on MN and watching Hangover 3

"MelanieRavenswood Sat 14-Dec-13 21:23:19

YABU

It's 10 sleeps."
I knew someone would pick up on this. The DC are at granny's tonight, so from a totally bedding point of view, it's only 9. And I was in a total bedding zone, I promise.

Ha just been to turn the TV off and it was no doubt singng "Don't Sleep"
Good advice I feel :o

NoArmaniNoPunani · 14/12/2013 23:55

I don't even have kids but I still have a Sleeps till Christmas App that plays a jaunty tune

StealthPolarBear · 14/12/2013 23:56

Thanks Lizzie, you are the only one sticking up for me! Do 7 years of hard service on here count for nuffink?

OP posts:
BillyBanter · 14/12/2013 23:59

Do you change the bedding every day?

I think we have more to castigate you over than the use of 'sleeps'.

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 15/12/2013 00:01

see now YABU, because you missed my post.

I said I link arms with you. but you seem to not give a shit.
fine then. whatevs

StealthPolarBear · 15/12/2013 00:02

no no, was trying to decide if I needed to change it before Christmas Eve. I have come up with the cunning plan that I will not change it, but on Friday DH will change the pillowcases. Then clean bedding on the 24th

StealthPolarBear · 15/12/2013 00:04

Zing, your post was too highbrow and too intellectual for me. I just saw the "not even sorry" and assumed you had castigated me using a method I didn't even understand. Please accept my humble apologies and gratitude for your spport.

StealthPolarBear · 15/12/2013 00:08

aww bloody hell the song is "don't speak"

OP posts:
BillyBanter · 15/12/2013 00:12

That's ok then.

JollySantersSelectionBox · 15/12/2013 00:27

Everyone is allowed one slip up, surely? I've reported her btw everyone

I once heard myself say aloud - "Oooh, that looks like a comfy fleece"

FFS.

TheBigJessie · 15/12/2013 00:28

I'm upset by this information. Given that I did start my Christmas shopping in August and you're reducing me to panic, I think we can safely say you're bang out of order publicising this to all and sundry!

I may report.

Wink
BillyBanter · 15/12/2013 00:35

But is it one slip, Jolly? I've requested mumsnet conduct a full audit of her posts and requested the police in her town check all cctv footage over the last year for any other incidences.

TheBigJessie · 15/12/2013 00:36

Actually, I've just found a present for FIL in the drawer and I think I might have got it in May, or possibly I bought it earlier than that for last Christmas. I'm fairly certain it was this summer, but not quite sure...

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 15/12/2013 00:40

stealth

I'm happy againSmile

do you know which episode in Friends I was referring to?
it's the one where the running theme is that Joey doesn't share food, yet at the end it turns out that not only he has double standards, but also has no shame.
his face after eating that Cake is priceless! Grin

BillyBanter · 15/12/2013 01:02

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 15/12/2013 01:08

LizzieVereker · 15/12/2013 09:45

I know Stealth, and after all you've done during the last 7 years. You give, and you give, and you give, and one tiny slip up and you're out. You know what I think? You're just ahead of your time. One day they'll understand.

StealthPolarBear · 15/12/2013 09:52

Zing, I do know the one but I don't remember the ending. DH and I have said we won't watch Friends again until the DC can watch with us (probably about 4 years) so that it seems new again :o
Thanks Lizzie. You're right, I am just a visionary.
property, I do shop in Asda Blush and the only reason I don't shop more often in Asda is that there isn't really a food one near us :o
Well, got to go...I have a phone call from MNHQ and they are advising I contact a lawyer. Can anyone recommend a cheap good one?

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 15/12/2013 12:26

Sorry, I posted that, fled and went to bed. Oooh, a poem!

HA! At norTEE. Grin

I am so using that!

We are not only counting sleeps to Santa Clause, we are counting sleeps until Granny and Grandad arrive.

2 for them.
9 for Santa.

HoFuckingHoFuckingHoneydragon · 15/12/2013 16:59

We were counting sleeps to dds birthday earlier. I've only had 5 hours of sleeps so I don't care if you banish me as long as it's to a bed.
