To be worried about a scan at seven weeks...

So, I am a size 18 and in a week I will be approximately seven weeks pregnant. I have scan booked for a week today. This is my third pregnancy. Our first ended with a missed miscarriage.

I really, really want to know that all is well before Christmas.

(I know it is self indulgent and that many, many people have sadness, worry and woe on the baby making front.)

It is a private scan and the woman who took the booking knows all our dates.

Do you reckon they will be able to see something? If I was skin and bones and I wouldn't be so worried.

With ds1 I had an external scan at 6 and 7 wks to confirm heartbeat and then internal scans to check development

I know Lunatic I had them, my concern would be that op gets inconclusive (I'm her size it is hard to be clear) and all spoils Christmas over nothing.

It is likely with only 1 mc all will be fine so why risk that? Personal approach though, only op knows her own mind.

I had a scan at 5 weeks (IVF) and they can clearly pick up a heartbeat. Congratulations on your pregnancy
