Dd1 is in year 1. We got asked to make sandwiches for the class party last year - as opposed to the packet of Jaffa cakes or biscuit option. Oh well I thought - could be worse, could be the fruit kebabs!!

Letter in book bag today - sandwiches again! Can only assume they start at the top of the register and work down - meaning I will get sandwiches every bloody year! Worse than that - have two younger DC so when all three at the school that will be 3 plates of sandwiches rather than 3 packets of Jaffa cakes!

Should I say something or just stay grateful that it's not fruit kebabs?!!

I did think of sending in a butternut squash, with a note about being more specific.

I got crisps this year, for my first school Christmas party. But i fear I may have over catered. 5 of those big packets of cheese puffs, 5 big packs of salt and vinegar chipstick things and 5 big bags of prawn cocktail shells. They are currently falling out of one of the big, oversized John Lewis bags. The teacher is going to think I'm a fruit loop, isn't she.

I don't think it's done register-wise in my school, as my two sons have the same surname but have to take different stuff (they are in the same class).

Dd is second on the register - first on the register also got sandwiches (and got them last year too!!).
