You may want to do a quick check that doodles from neighbouring pages in the writing pad haven't left their imprint on said letter?

Particularly if you tend to doodle swastikas?

oops!

mummratheevertired · 10/12/2013 19:25

Why on earth would you doodle a swastika?

KellyHopter · 10/12/2013 19:33

God knows! But it made me chuckle.

Because to Hindus and Buddhists, among others, it is an auspicious symbol... Just a guess?

KellyHopter · 10/12/2013 19:39

They're not Buddhist or Hindu, they're also not Nazi sympathisers, I know them well and they're a lovely family.

There were shooting starts too, and an apple. And lots and lots of swastikas Grin

I can easily imagine doodling swastikas as I sat on a conference call with a (thankfully) ex boss, or while having forced pleasantries with an over bearing relative.

ANormalOne · 10/12/2013 20:08

I have a Buddhist swastika tattooed on my leg, it's an auspicious symbol of religion, peace, luck and prosperity that dates back thousands of years before it was misappropriated by the Nazis, and is still a valuable part of many cultures.

In fact most cultures, excluding the aborigines, have a version of it in their cultural past.

But I can see why you'd find it funny. Grin
