to be worried that DH is not home yet?

He's wandered off to local pub with some friends about 7.30pm. It's a 10 minute walk away. It's 12.45am now, pub closes at 11.30 and he's not home yet.

Not answering phone.

I am getting a bit worried, but I'm usually asleep when he gets in so I don't know if it is usual for him to be this late home. He probably goes about once every 2 or 3 weeks.

For balance, I was out last night in the village until just gone 12, no issue with him actually being out or anything, but I am getting slightly worried about him.

He gets annoyed when I worry because "what could happen to me?"

Have you tried ringing the friends he was with? Or the pub?

WoodBurnerBabe · 07/12/2013 00:54

I don't actually have any of their numbers, I do have some wives numbers, but don't want to wake people at 1am. Calling pub is an option but I think he would be pretty annoyed with me if I did that...

Scratch that. He's just walked in. I'm annoyed now rather than worried, but I guess that's always the case when you are relieved. Apparently they were playing cribbage and didn't realise the time (landlord plays and runs the local team as well).

He's a little bit apologetic.

Bugger this, I'm off to bed.

Please don't go catastrophising. Yes, it's easy to imagine all sorts.

But the most likely explanation is that he's a bit pissed and he's round at a friend's house getting a bit more pissed.

It's not that late. Go to bed. If he's not home in the morning, then start ringing round.
