He's 8 months old, he won't stop chattering to them, I didn't think I'd have to break up sleepovers for another few years yet...

Are you sure it's the teddies?
DC1 used to talk to a ghost and his eyes used to follow it round the room.

He's going over their escape plan because he heard you threatened To take them away. Once they Get free of your evil clutches they are under orders To liberate him from his cot and set off for the nearest rave.

MrsMook · 05/12/2013 02:54

It's a development leap time. Better having the teddies to chat to than just himself. The conversation will be more varied.

Szeli · 05/12/2013 06:57

I caught him lining them up against the bars of his cot yesterday for a 'stern' talking to so you might be right Adora

MyBaby1day · 06/12/2013 05:13

YABVU, NOOOooooooo, don't take his teddies, you'll be taking his friends! Sad

Fraggle3112 · 08/12/2013 00:54

I have before now said 'DS Rory is trying to be a good lion and go to sleep, please stop chewing on his tail and go to sleep' Rory is a stuffed toy, DS is nearly 1... I like to think of that as the day I actually lost my marbles Grin

TreaterAnita · 08/12/2013 01:11

Noooooo. Chatting to teddies is the cutest thing ever. My son's been doing it since he was tiny and still gives them a good talking to before bed now (3.6). He sings them lullabies and tells them that they need to go to sleep! I'd happily spend hours listening to him put them to bed, it's adorable.

Nigella, do you need a nice sit down and a cup of tea?

Your post sounds very angry.

its a lighthearted thread....in all kindness, do get a grip!

ZingSweetPea · 08/12/2013 01:54

I think you should take the teddies away and put a scary crocodile near him who will guard him and make sure he sleeps
That will learn him!Grin

nah, let him be, it's sweet. and definitely video it, he'll laugh his head off in a few years watching himself chatting to a bunch of toys!Wink

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 08/12/2013 18:36

My little one talks to his blanket and occasionally shouts "trains, cars, bus, baaaaa" - I think talking to teddies is a little more normal!!
