AIBU to think yodel drivers don't actually know how to knock on doors?

They came yesterday while I was in but upstairs so possibly I didn't hear them but I did hear the letterbox rattle then a van driving away

Says on the card they will try again today -went into the kitchen to make a coffee, same thing has just happened!

Apparently if they have another failed delivery I will have to collect it from them -its a bike ffs! How am I supposed to collect an adult size bike? Grrr

Be careful with that company!

We ordered one of our sons a school blazer it had to be delivered by them from a well known shop.It didn't turn up and it cost us a small fortune.

We got in touch with the company and the driver that was supposed to deliver it lied.He said he had delivered it and had my signature to prove it cheeky sod.

I was in the day he said he'd delivered but I'm disabled so cant get to the door and no one knocked all day!

And the signature well we never got to see it but the name he said was signed isn't even my name!

We got in touch with the shop we'd ordered it from and they made contact with yodel who said we were right it was never delivered and we managed to get a refund about 6 weeks after we were supposed to have had the blazer delivered.

Oh yeah, one of the courier companies we deal with has a brilliant idea to make sure stuff is delivered properly. They are required to take a photograph of the place they deliver, to prove they tried to deliver and/or to prove that they were at the correct address. It gets up loaded straight into their delivery system and it can be shared with customers. That way the drivers themselves can't be penalised for failed deliveries either. Its a genius idea and only takes the driver a few seconds.

Irony is, we want to start using them ourselves, but they won't give us an account, despite the fact they collect on behalf of some of our customers daily! Reason? Because they are so in demand for new accounts they are restricting opening new accounts to huge volumes as they aren't able to keep up with demand, because they have such a good reputation compared with the competition in their sector.

Why don't more companies do this?

Our ShittyLink driver apparently tried to deliver twice but neither time did he bother to leave a card. First we knew was John Lewis phoning to ask if we actually wanted our delivery.

When the item finally arrived the packaging was badly damaged and the item was damaged tooHmm

It was a prelit Christmas tree and it looked like shit anyway but unfortunately I can't blame that on ShittyLink. It was just made worse by the fact it was damaged and delivery was such a fuck up!

Last year my lovely Yodel chap came three times to deliver a large little tykes item for my god daughter.
When he finally got me in Confused he whispered "is it ok to bring this in now, don't want to spoil it for Santa?"
He was the sweetest man. I won't hear a word against the man from Yodel!

I had a Yodel Driver knock at my door this morning, I was shocked and astounded. He was even polite!
