I bought £80 worth of toys for the DC's xmas from Amazon a few weeks ago. Still haven't received them. So I logged into my account and it says that they have been delivered and signed for (signed using my name).

So what the heck has happened? Looks like someone has forged my name :( What can I do?

Oh, that's crap :(

Contact them ASAP, best of luck.

JuneauWhoIAm · 27/11/2013 22:21

Just contact amazon,
Don't be so dramatic.

DoubleLifeIsALifeOfSorts · 27/11/2013 22:23

Tell amazon immediately, this happened to me and they were on it within a couple of hours, phoned yodel, found out what happened, told me its absolutely unacceptable and were generally amazing. It may have helped that i stressed that its illegal to forge my signature and I got the parcel in the end.

AnyBagsofOxfordFuckers · 27/11/2013 22:27

You can track the status of your order with Amazon online, and then with Yodel itself online, once they are in receipt of the order. Yodel don't take things to the Royal Mail sorting office if you aren't in. I am at a loss as to why you don't know any of this, or haven't thought to keep checking online. Sorry if this sounds a bit mean, but it is very basic stuff, and it's all made very clear and obvious throughout every step of the order and delivery process.

Slipperywhippet · 27/11/2013 22:29

It's a shame it never happens the other way - amazon actually send double the amount of presents and don't ask for payment

It will be ok and email and email or call and call so they deal with it straight away. Good luck

RedPencils · 27/11/2013 22:32

Yodel? Check your bins, favourite drop off round here.
Or leave with a neighbour but don't tell you.

Amazon will sort it for you, get on to them tomorrow.

gimcrack · 27/11/2013 22:34

I've had this. The courier company insisted it had been delivered to my 'outhouse'. I pointed out I didn't have one and someone had been in all day. Amazon resent the goods. It turned out they'd been left on another home's porch, who'd been away.

Anyway, just complain, they'll resend.

womblesofwestminster · 27/11/2013 22:34

Thanks everyone for your support :) I feel a bit better already.

ZombieMonkeyButler · 27/11/2013 22:37

DON'T WORRY.

I had the same thing with Amazon & Yodel two years ago - about £200 worth of Xbox games with me. Amazon did not hesitate to resend the parcel, which arrived the next day.

It will be fine.

SleepyBum · 27/11/2013 22:39

Contact amazon,l. They have an instant messenger thing on their site linked to their customer services.

I had a missing parcel (that didn't turn up for dd's birthday) , I contacted amazon to inform them - cue many apologies and an immediate next day dispatch as a replacement.

I know its frustrating but don't stress!!

SleepyBum · 27/11/2013 22:41

God, sorry that's all jumbled, hope it makes sense!

Naoko · 27/11/2013 22:45

This happened to me last year, I know who took them but I can't prove it, Amazon just sent me out another parcel without any hassle though. It's ridiculous that it can happen but you won't lose out OP. Don't worry. Just tell them that although the parcel is showing as delivered, you certainly don't have it and they need to sort it out.

OneUp · 27/11/2013 22:48

Ask Amazon, they're really good for things like this. Don't worry, it should all get sorted within a couple of days.

usualsuspect · 27/11/2013 22:48

Their live chat thing is very helpful.

Patilla · 27/11/2013 22:51

Have you contacted Amazon yet OP?

optimusic · 27/11/2013 22:59

Why wait until tomorrow? What is wrong with contacting them now on the live chat? Ok, the couriers are closed, but they have details in their screen that you cannot see. Plus the contact to them gets logged and you can also arrange that they contact you tomorrow.

steppemum · 27/11/2013 23:02

You do not have to deal with the courier.

By law the seller (Amazon) has to deliver it to you. If their courier hasn't done that, then they have to argue with the courier. They still have a contract with you that they haven't fulfilled.

So only contact Amazon, and they should sort it out.

Queen0fFlamingEverything · 27/11/2013 23:04

It does happen the other way round! Someone I know ordered her DS a DS that he wanted to buy with his birthday money. Two DSes arrived in two boxes on two separate days (second one was left in the porch so never actually signed for or accepted) She told Amazon who told her they were sending a courier to pick it up, who never turned up after arranging to come 3 times, so she gave it to her younger DS in the end.

MarcelineTheVampireQueen · 27/11/2013 23:08

I work for amazon cs. Name change!

Amazon will investigate with tge driver. In the meantime if the order is below 250 and no history of abuse of refunds, a refund or replacement whatever suits you. Usually the shipping will be upgraded to get the order to you ASAP.

If the order is over 250 then they will will need to investigate but that is guaranteed done in 24 hours and unless yodel have video evidence of you signing, you will get your order dispatched.

But we can't do it if we don't know so get on it. I think last date for Christmas orders are out today or tomorrow so you need to move now!

MarcelineTheVampireQueen · 27/11/2013 23:08

Well I didn't name change at all there!
