To buy my wedding dress off eBay?

Hi

I'm getting married next August in a shoe string and have seen many dresses from china that are very cheap.

I've been recommended one seller who is cheap but doesn't have the dress style I really want Sad

I've seen the style I love on eBay by a few sellers and don't know whether to trust them or not?

The dress is only £50 so would you risk it for a biscuit?

Or do any of you lovely ladies have any recommendations wrt the Chinese sellers on eBay? Smile

My sis got married 2 years ago. Tried on dress she loved, in bridal shop. It was £1600. We then had the idea of checking ebay found the EXACT same dress listed, same designer etc...for £900. So obviously, the markup in bridal shops/cost of obtaining from designer, is hire. She got her bridesmaids dresses from China - you had to give very detailed measurements also colour requirements but she got what she wanted, the dresses were really lovely. I think the dresses came to around £18 each. Cut out the middleman and try ebay. I dont see the virtue in paying more money for something if you dont need to.

I wore a heavy, lined, floor length cream satin gown with diamante at bust and waist, when I got married. It cost £30 in a shop (not a bridal shop, either) in Fonthill Road, north London. Never found such a good bargain as that since Grin

I went to a wedding in the summer and the bride wore a beautiful full length dress with embroidery.

I couldn't believe it when she told me it was a 'designer copy' which she bought from China via e-bay and it cost £85!!!.

It was genuinely stunning.
