To think running over my sons foot with a car should have hurt more then this?

I feel terrible before you startSad my 10 year old son was rushing to get into the car. I thought he was in, he wasn't and I ran over his foot! He cried for about 10mins then said he was fine. U was ready to take him to a&e but he said he wanted to go to school. My husband is a first aider, checked him out and said ' he's fine, I've had my foot run over loads of times!' Is it possible that he's actually inherited feet made from steel?!Hmm

Someone I know ran over his daughters head! Honestly! She slipped in mud as he was reversing. The ground was so soft that she had no more than a tyre track and a headache.

20 years later she thinks it's hilarious, he looks like he wants to vomit every time she mentions it.

When she first told me I figured it was rubbish, in fact I decided she was one who told tall tales and kept a distance. Then I met her dad who confirmed it. My face was just like ^ Shock Shock Shock Shock

Glad I read this, 2 days ago a car sped off as I was approaching and rolled straight over my foot.. After the initial shock and slight pain I was able to casually walk home, took off my shoes wriggled my toes to reveal no damage, or much pain either. I thought for a while I was superhuman or maybe the pain and swelling would come soon after.. However no pain since and when I could not find the remote and had to get up to turn the TV on I realised I was no longer superhuman either.

I too have driven over my child's foot.

When I took her boot off to look I expected a mangled bloody mess. It was fine.

The only lasting damage is that she still mentions it now, 6 years later

My foot got run over by a packed land train once, didn't even bruise. I got in a lot of trouble from my parents though for messing around :D

I had my foot run over when I was about 12. I was with my friends and they didn't believe me because I want writhing round in agony.

I don't remember it even being sore.

BikeRunSki · 09/08/2016 07:46

I can confirm that 30 years after having my hand run over, it's still fine.

Naoko · 09/08/2016 07:51

My dad did that once (by accident of course!) , i don't remember it hurting much. Now a horse standing on your foot, that's a different matter altogether. Give me the car any day of the week.

TheRealAdaLovelace · 09/08/2016 07:53

could I just add that I had my foot run over by a double decker bus and it was fine...

Slimey345 · 13/02/2018 20:49

My stepdad ran over my right foot this afternoon, for the same reason. The only thing that´s left after 6 hours is a small blue line between the 2 leftmost metatorsel bones. No swollen foot, no noticable pain, except if I push on that spot.

If the car´s light enough (like with my accident), you should be fine. If you do still feel pain after 6 hours or so (or a lot of pain the first 1/2 hours), you might want to go get it checked.

Annechristmas · 13/02/2018 21:27

As it was over 4 years ago I imagine his foot is better now.

JenniferYellowHat1980 · 13/02/2018 21:31

My dad once made a bow and arrow for my brother out of sticks and string, with a rusty old nail for the point of the arrow. I walked straight into his line of fire and he shot me in the hand.

Your DS will be fine Smile
