I'm watching him make pizza. He wants tomatoes cooked for 4 hours. More tomatoes cooked, pressure cooked then left in a fridge for hours. Leave dough for 24 hours then add more stuff to it. Oh and travel to Italy for tomatoes, don't forget that.

Now he is making a barbecue pizza maker with a fan!

Can you imagine cooking tea using his ways?

You would have to start the week before Grin

I'm sure he's a very nice man, but I once stood behind/next to him in a bar queue and had a while to look at him without him seeing me looking at him IYKWIM. His clothes were so.... Busy. Just jeans, just a jacket but all this little detailing and funny stone washing and fiddly zips where no mortal needs a zip and then his twiddly little glasses. And then suddenly it dawned on me that was what his cooking was like - it was all a bit too much . Also, his head, come to think of it, was very shiny and round and rather reminiscent of his four hour tomatoes.

Heston Blumenthal Triple Cooked Chips are the BEST recipe ever.
I make chips (except for the putting them in the fridge bit) like this.
My DC friends always ask "Are you making chips/" when they come round

And WRT the pizza recipe - he's explaining why most pizza is dire. The ovens aren't hot enough/

Envy @ ladyRabbit

I'd have stolen some of his DNA and made my own Heston Love Child

I love Heston, it's his wacky way with food.

No way is his food for making at home, unless you pop to waitrose for his range ( seen it advertised)

I went to school with twins. One of them is the double of Heston

And if it wasn't for making at home he shouldn't have said he was making it so it can be made at home then pull out a squirrel cage do us at home can smoke fish.

He also had recipe running along the bottom.

Anyone been to Fat Duck?
