I lol from time to time on MN and have never been told off for it. I don't randomly lol though. I find it a useful term and it's much easier to type than oh yes, I do find that most amusing. I think it's crossed the line from text speak to normal slang English.

Apparently some MN'ers disapprove of the term KIDS. 'They are not baby goats they are children' Yeah, well whatever

I'll lol and use 'kids' if I want to. I am way to scared to out a kiss on my posts though, I am simply not hardcore enough for that type of behaviour

mumofbeautys I'm only a newcomer but have been made very welcome on the whole.

But there are some posters who just like being mean, it reflects real life in that sense and all I do is ignore and carry on regardless.
