DH bought a bag of chocolates to share tonight. He decided to open them earlier on in the day so we both had some. Me a bit more than I should have. Ended up being three left apparentlt!! Now hes sulking and making a huge deal about it. He'll keep it going a couple of days for sure!! Saying things like "whats wrong with you?!" "Why would you do that?!"
I know i maybe should have restrained myself.... But jeez!!! Lighten the fuck up theyre only chocs!! Not like I killed someoneHmmHmmHmm

I don't think I'd like these but, regardless I would be annoyed if my DP ate all of mine and if my DP didn't have the foresight to just get me my own packet and hide his

If it's for the family, I used to share it out equally into little bowls/tubs/bags depending on what it is. I used scales to be 100% sure is equal - chocs or crisps type of stuff that used to lead to squabbles.
So then we had the pinching a bit from someone else's portion after scoffing their own in double quick time!
I gave up and left them to fight it out. I keep my stash in the car, under lock and key and don't share. Grin
So, in my view, he is bu as he should have either divvied it up himself or kept it all for himself. Snooze u lose!

My mother, when I and my siblings were little, would put out one less portion than the number of children present, so we would fight, and grow strong. SCHTRONG LIKE BOOL.

I used to get massively frustrated with my sister, who used to tell me off for taking the last thing from a packet. SOMEBODY HAS TO HAVE THE LAST ONE!!!

Although we used to do the "open packet, put in the middle of the room, fight" method of sharing.

He's being childish.

If I were you, I would make the point passive aggressively, by making him up one of the party bags that kids take home after going to a party, and putting some chocolate in it.

Ha I just wrote on another thread that my ex bought me some chocolates for Xmas last year. We split up in January AND I STILL HAVEN'T EATEN THEM..!!

It's not about self control, just couldn't stomach them...

DoJo · 18/11/2013 09:22

It is pretty mean to eat something meant to be shared, especially if he had been exercising restraint all day in anticipation of a treat later only to find there are none left. Had he had any?
