I'm a nurse, in the middle of a run of 12hr nights, working over 55 hours this week. This morning, I staggered in from work, went to bed (after cleaning the kitchen of the dishes from a meal I cooked him last night, but didn't actually have time to eat before I went to work), to find OH still in bed. Fair enough, it's the weekend. He told me he had no intention of getting up for hours as he has man flu. Fine. Irritating, but fine.

At 2.30 this afternoon, he woke me up by prodding me, saying he needs a cuddle because he's feeling poorly, and he's coming back to bed.

I'm now wide awake, no chance of getting back to sleep before my shift tonight, and he's snoring and grunting next to me.

We've been living together since August.

I asked him why, if he was so tired, he didn't just sleep in the spare room...apparently it was because he wanted to be with me. And I'm unreasonable for not swooning at his feet with delight.
