To be annoyed about male and female tv presenters?

When there are two presenters on tv together, invariably there will be an older man and a young woman. I can't think of a show presented by an older woman and a young guy. However I can think of plenty the other way round.

Aibu to think this is unfair, ageist and sexist?!

So I would consider Alex and Matt to be the save age then really. Obviously there are some same/similar age pairings. But I do think older man/young woman is more prevalent than the other way round.

I can only think of one oter than Watchdog - Sky Portrait Painter of the Year which has Joan Bakewell paired with Frank Skinner.

agree that the Tess/Claudia combo was much more entertaining than poor ol' Brucie

The annoyingly perky Lorraine Kelly is about a decade older than creepy Aled Jones, I think they present together.

Phil and Holly too. I know he is not as old as Bruce and peers, but still much older than Holly.

It's shite, I quite agree. Arlene Philips was apparently sacked from SCD because of her age but Bruce keeps going, even though he can barely read the autocue and the way he mauls Tess Daly every week makes me want to vomit! And he's totally irascible too.

Left to their own devices, these women are credible presenters, but next to Terry Wogan /Bruce F, they are made to (or chose to) act the silly , giggly side kick. Why? Why can't they just be the mature, intelligent and confident women they really are? It's so demoralising to watch! I've already said all this upthread, I'll stop ranting now!

Mary Berry is a legend! And I must admit that I love the relationship between Michel Roux Jr and Monica on Pro MC - at least that is because they are both experts and work together in real life!
