To think the neighbour has stolen my cat?

My cat has been missing now for 3 days, my family and I are distraught. He's very friendly and homely and hardly ever goes over the road, let alone out for 3 days straight.

Our neighbour moved away last week, but has popped over every day since to his old house to do odd jobs. He was very fond of our cat, we have 2 cats but it was the missing cat he especially liked because he always went in their house Hmm. Our neighbour always encouraged the cat to come inside etc and he always told us how much he liked him.

Anyway, our neighbour popped round his old house 3 days ago, the time our cat went missing and hasn't been back since. The new neighbours have been round a couple of times and we have asked if they can look inside the house/garage incase our cat is there but he isn't Sad. He's also very vocal so if he was around our neighbourhood we would hear him Sad.

Could this neighbour have stolen our cat? It sounds completely far fetched, but I suppose it is viable.

Ask the new neighbours? Or send him a letter/missing cat poster as he may have had his mail forwarded?

zombiesheep · 08/11/2013 15:50

Sam we didn't want to accuse the old neighbour, so haven't asked. Think I might though.

You have to go and get him back, spy on them from car across the street with collar up and lure him with his favourite food. Unless he prefers his new home?

I don't know where new neighbour lives donkey Sad I'm going to knock on peoples doors soon once they get back from work.

Ask the new neighbour if they have left a forwarding address, under the pretence of sending a gift/card and go round to see if the cat is there.
