WIBU to ask my neighbour for help?

I feel like crap; headache, nausea, upset stomach, and I'm home alone with a 3 year old and a 12 month old. It's 9am here and DH won't be him until 7.

We have a lovely neighbour who lives across the hall, and who is at home during the day. She has no children of her own and is brilliant with mine. Would I be asking too much to see if she would come and play with them for a bit so I can go back to bed?

And I meant to say, we only did it when the chips were down OP and we were right up against it; not when we could actually get out of bed, stand up and get dressed unless we looked so awful that someone offered, which of course they usually did

I'd help you. You're in a new country and I take it, it's just you and DH, I know how that feels. A lovely new friend, known her 3 weeks has offered to help me unpack the house when our stuff arrives and to be on call if we need backup for the kids. I like living in a world where such things happen and I was taken aback at her generous offer. I'm not so good at friendships really but I will offer the same to her and others in our situation. We need more of it in this life, not less, we are slowly isolating ourselves and I think it is detrimental to society.

Sometimes i think people dont offer to help because they are scaree their offer will be rejected.my neighbour looked after my ds for a few hours when i had a bad accident and it felt really nice to have someone there so close to turn to.Its comforting to know theres someone we can turn to if something goes wrong
