I've come across this on countless threads.

"My cousins best friend is an extremely famous actress."

"I once slept with a very famous football."

"I got a message on Facebook from a well known singer saying I was beautiful and wanted to take me out on a date"

I understand the point of privacy but why not just say who it is, as you are hardly going to get George Clooney coming on MN disputing it.

Is it so people beg to know who it is, or because it's actually bullshit and this "very famous" actor was in actually just in Emmerdale 7 years ago for a couple of months?

I met Vernon Kay once. I'm happy to admit it.

Actually I was so drunk I went up to him in a nightclub and kept bugging him to admit that he did English with me at uni. It was only after he walked off disgusted, that I realised he was actually famous, and not at university with me.

Does that help? Smile

I got eyed up on Worthing station a few years ago by a megastar. I really did. He was trying to catch my eye and everything.

Normally I wouldn't divulge. It will out me and I'm not sure if I could handle the press intrusion.

But, since it's you OP, and you seem discreet......

It was Bodger from Bodger & Badger. I could have had him.

True story. But please, just between us. OK?

See if it had been badger I would have been in there like a shot!

I sincerely think you need to get out more op.

"lezzing off" what a charming turn of phrase.

Well - there is more to my story than I'm prepared to share. That's all I'm gonna say.... Wink

I've slept with an ex-England rugby player and a ex-England cricketer.

One wasn't single at the time (I know now, I didn't know then!) and it would pretty much out me Grin
