To sometimes wish I had a job outside the home

Just that really.

I have 4DC under six and they are my world along with DH. I am studying for my degree part time and trying to help my parents as much as I can a my dad works and my mum is terminally ill.

I know I'm very lucky to be able to stay at home and wouldn't really want to have to pay someone else to look after the DCs.

But bloomin heck they're hard work sometimes. DH is fantastic with them when he's home mostly the weekends as he works long hours in a physical job. It leaves me to do the housework and childcare which is fine as I'm the one home.

It's the endless round of school, cook, clean, wash, iron, shop, study that never ends that drives me nuts all to the tune or whining, crying, arguing (over toys).

I guess it depends on the job Grin.

I didn't mean that working and having kids was easier than being at home full time. My friend worked nights while her other half worked days once their two were at school and I have no idea how she coped.

And I didn't plan to have four DCs, this close or otherwise. Contraception isn't 100% as I've found out hence DS2.

I manage to fit studying round the DCs and its open uni so harder in some ways but more flexible. I've got about four more school years left unless I manage to double up on some courses.

When I'm eventually done with my degree I hope to either get a place to train as a clinical psychologist (unlikely straightaway) or do the extra training to be a SENCO and work in schools.

Hopefully by then DH will be able to get a different/part time job and we'll switch to him being the main carer.

Until then its Groundhog Day!
