My auntie shared a really disturbing photo of a dead baby (I didn't really read the story along side it, something to do with it being found in a park). I reported the photo and Facebook said it doesn't violate the community rules. Even if the photo is a fake AIBU to think Facebook are out of order? I want to report them for failing to listen to my report!!

I don't understand why you haven't said anything to your aunt? Surely you can tell her you find it upsetting and inappropriate?

Nothing will change unless you challenge it.

No people that post it don't mean well. It's a lazy arse attempt to show people oh look at me i care soo much just by clicking a button on the computer.Sharing a photo does nothing. If this people care so much they should donate to a known charity who actually help abused or ill kids

I agree that you need to tell your aunt how it made you (and potentially others) feel and maybe change your settings so that your aunt's news is filtered or blocked from your newsfeed and check out her profile now and again if you want a reguar update on what she's doing.
I'm glad I have not seen it. It is distressing but nevertheless, by not making people aware that these things happen, allows us to become ignorant and sheltered from real life thus losing our empathy in such situations. Just like Syria. Most people complain that it is in the news and claim it is nothing to do with us. Just how far away does people's plight and misfortune have to be to be deemed 'too far away' to give a shit?
