To think Mr Tumbles is quite possibly the most annoying man ever?

.... yet he seems to be on CBeebies constantly and plays countless characters all of them equally annoying and a little bit creepy. If I met him in real life I would have to fight the urge to give him a slap!

Mr Tumble has received an OBE for his work with disabled children and, more importantly, his work in bridging the gap between the disabled and non-disabled children.

The man is a legend, YABU

pigletmania · 27/10/2013 14:12

My dd6 who has ASD used to love him, he s great with Chidren who have SN, if children like him that's te main thing.

123Jump · 27/10/2013 14:21

DS3 is 14 mo, and he puts his hand to his mouth and attempts to shout "Mr Tumble"! We do makaton too, so it's great for learning and practice sing signs.
Wasn't there someone on here that had, ahem, been intimate with Justin?
(lowers tone)

ElleBellySkellington · 27/10/2013 14:33

I would LOVE someone to kiss and tell on Justin!

DorothyBastard · 27/10/2013 14:38

I absolutely love Justin Fletcher, I let DD watch tv during her dinner sometimes just so I can watch Gigglebiz. Keith Fitt cracks me up.

Tensixtysix · 27/10/2013 14:39

Love all his characters. Cheers me up no end :-)

BonaDrag · 27/10/2013 14:50

Mr Tumble is fantastic. Now Me Too is the most annoying programme on television. Especially granny cunting Murray.

123Jump · 27/10/2013 15:03

Agree BonaDrag, it is unbearable!

LimitedEditionLady · 27/10/2013 15:03

Bonadrag yes you are very right!me too is the most irritating, the first time i watched it,to be fair it was at about five in the morning,i felt like i was being tortured.its absolutely dire.

roundtable · 27/10/2013 15:19

Apparently Justin Fletcher is a bit of a ' ladies man'...hmm.

I love something special though. It's a huge tool in normalising children with disabilities and ds loves it.

Grandpa in my Pocket gives me the rage though. It is so sexist and Grandpa is a deceitful, manipulative arse. Only the grandson is allowed in on the secret not his sister, his daughter or his granddaughter. Wanker.

He is always punishing people and spying on them but pretending to be infirm and needing his bed. I would like Jason to break the cycle.

Yes i have been watching too much cbeebies recently.

stillenacht · 27/10/2013 15:29

My DS2, with autism, learnt to speak because of Something Special. Aged almost 4. He still loves it aged 10.

The man, producers etc etc are Gods as far as I am concerned.

ElleBellySkellington · 27/10/2013 15:31

I hate everything about Grandpa in my pocket. Worst.Programme.Ever.

jumperooo · 27/10/2013 15:32

Yabu.

The most irritating tv thing ever is Mr Blobby.

TotallyAddictedToLurking · 27/10/2013 15:33

I Love Justin and all of his characters.

I love watching my little nephew light up when he come on. He shouts 'Mr Tumble!'

He is 21 months and has learnt some of the signing.

It's great that he has watched it from a very early age, as he has seen a variety of disabilities and he will not have a prejudiced view like perhaps other generations have.

TheRobberBride · 27/10/2013 15:40

YABU

My 2 year old loves him. She signs 'Mr Tumble' and points at the TV when he comes on.

And Justin Fletcher does amazing work with special needs children.

YY to Grandpa- emotionally abusive IMO.

And Granny Murray is awful too. She's about 35 FFS.

HappyHippyChick · 27/10/2013 17:57

YY to Grandpa- emotionally abusive IMO.

^ This! I hate this program, how is it right to teach kids to keep secrets that make them unhappy/uncomfortable? Jason hates it when grandpa puts on his shrinking cap, but still doesn't tell anyone.

angelabbie · 27/10/2013 18:11

I took my 17 year old special needs daughter to see his live show. She was so happy and it made her year. I also fell in love with him just a tiny bit. He really made time to get out in the audience and interact with as many kids as possible. It was a fab show, not over priced and he actually has a decent voice.

pigletmania · 27/10/2013 18:24

Aww angel that is wonderful, Justin is really great with the children and they love him, thats the main thing. It comforted dd in times of anxiety and distress and I could have a 10 min tea break

thehorridestmumintheworld · 27/10/2013 18:27

Love Mr Tumble too for me the most annoying TV show is the new series of Angelina Ballerina the cgi Americanised version grr.

BurlyShassey · 27/10/2013 18:31

we love Cliff Tumble too Grin.

RightInTheKisser · 27/10/2013 18:38

Mr Tumble is amazing! We love him here.

Justin is also the voice of Jake on the Tweenies

Papyrus02 · 27/10/2013 18:47

Yes - Angelina is terrible. Or as DH said yesterday "a sanctimonious, smug pile of shit".... Chloe's Closet runs it a close second.

I like Mr Tumble and all 'Justin' shows. I quite often feel slightly weepy when watching Something Special. When you see the reaction of the children it's heartwarming. Also love Arthur Sleep on Gigglebiz.

Nanny0gg · 27/10/2013 18:48

How can anyone like Mr Maker?

Mr Tumble is lovely, but I do miss Sid now he's only on Let's Play.

BeforeTheWorst · 27/10/2013 18:56

Ha "watch and learn bains, watch and learn" I love Keith fitt on gigglebiz. My 2 year old likes something special but likes to watch "na na" with his big brother who is 9. Currently I am subjected to peppa pig on peppa pig month!
