to be annoyed about employee on FB?

For health reasons I need someone to look after our DC. Is it unreasonable for me to be irritated when I can see that she is regularly online using FB when looking after our children whilst out-and-about?
If you think I am NBU, should I say something? It shrieks of weird internet stalker behaviour when actually I can just see the green light by her name!

Icelollycraving: that actually made me laugh. We are friends, I am not spying! :)

It might be helpful to un-friend or hide her updates though, that way it wouldn't annoy me so much! What you don't see n' all that...

Have you seen this? I agree that doing the odd bit is fine but it's easy to be 'hooked' IMO

Sorry, OP but that is a boak-some article.

I am all for putting the phone away and paying attention to the DC but articles like that are designed to make mums feel bad.

I don't have to be constantly watching every twirl and every skip my kids make. They have a lot of my attention and they have all my love and care.

And I don't think that applies to this situation where you are talking about an employee checking her phone.

Look at it from another angle. Are you happy with her? Do your DC like her? Do you trust her to look after your DC?

Checking FB occasionally is ok, if you are generally happy with her interaction and care
