Am I overreacting?

I ordered a set of photo key rings off of this website 2 days ago for next day delivery, After sitting in with 2 very bored children it never arrived yesterday and when I sent an E-mail asking where my item was my reply was that the courier (A well know company) was 'searching' for this item.

Today after E-mailing twice and trying to get in touch by phone I have had an E-mail from the website stating that the courier had looked for my parcel all night and cannot find it, they have offered me a re-print or a refund.

That's fine but the major problem here is that there are pictures of my children on these key rings and now I have no idea where they are/who can see them.

I am extremely annoyed that my children's pictures are somewhere I don't know and I think that the company should realise that this is a major error on there part.

AIBU to put a further complaint in for the company due to the fact that there were pictures of my children on the key rings or do I just accept that it has happened and go for the reprint/full refund?

Yabu
Why would you need a courier for 2 key rings?!

imnotwhoyouthinkiam · 18/10/2013 14:13

How big were these key rings that you had to wait for.a delivery? Surely they'd fit through your letterbox?
And yes you are over reacting, for all the reasons already mentioned!

SeaSickSal · 18/10/2013 14:19

Overreacting. Also overeacting by waiting in all day, it would probably have gone through the letterbox.

hellsbellsmelons · 18/10/2013 14:25

Wow - seriously?
This is just an excuse made up by the company anyway.
They didn't get them done in time to send them out so they come up with this excuse. Bet they've used it loads of times before.
What you get sent out today will be the only set that was made.
If I got someone else's stuff I would call the company to get them to collect or just bin them.
What do you think someone will do with these?

KhunZhoop · 18/10/2013 14:27

I think the OP sent her actual children off to be made into keyrings. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

Topseyt · 18/10/2013 14:40

Are they made of gold bullion? Halloween Grin

Tuppenceinred · 18/10/2013 14:47

You've been properly compensated and have nothing to complain about.
(And you were over-reacting to wait in for the delivery and you are over-reacting about the whole thing).

More photographic hysteria - we should have a special section

Oh I totally read the OP as 'keys'. I thought fair enough, you dont want keys to your house getting 'lost'.

Then I wondered how you got pictures of your children on the keys.

Then I realised. You are totally, and utterly over reacting.

Wow yes, total overreaction.

pianodoodle · 18/10/2013 18:47

Why did you wait in for 2 days for key rings?
