It just doesn't ring true and I can't put my finger on why.

He's gone from being the mouthpiece for one of the nastiest right-wing organisations of recent times to saying that he'll help police catch racist thugs, all in a matter of weeks.

He may have turned over a new leaf but I just don't buy it.

There are lots of comments from EDL members calling him a sellout and a grass.

Apparently he was attacked by some muslim men a few days ago, there are lots of 'goods' from EDL members too.

There is a huge EDL protest here in Bradford today, I do hope it doesn't get out of hand like last time. I don't buy this guy for a second either, he's shifty.

I feel so sorry for Bradford. They seem to really get it in the neck from the EDL.

He's left the Edl, but says he still wants to discuss Islamic extremism. He said he doesn't have an issue with Muslims, just Islamic extremists. And he's going to work with various people to look at 'Islamic extremism'
My gut reaction to hearing this, was that he's gaining sympathy and credibility from denouncing his former organisation and finding an audience amongst middle englanders who would've dismissed him as a racist loon.

Saw he's apparently after govt funding to tackle "extremists", reckon this is just a way of trying to convince them he's not just going to go after Muslims? Suspect once he's got the funding he wont be chasing his own kind somehow.. Not that I think he'll get it anyway.
