Is this normal for a nursery or should I speak up?

My toddler has just started play school once a week. She loves it and looks forward to it all week but a few things have happened which make me worry
First time I picked her up she was wet. She's still in pull ups but they'd obviously leaked. It hasn't happened since.
The next time even though she was really hungry she came home with a full lunchbox. I questioned the key worker and she said she had been so busy changing nappies etc she hadn't realised dd needed help eating. Again, she does seem to have help at lunchtime now and I've taught dd To say 'help me' when she needs a hand.
There was a hair pulling incident which dd was worrying about before going back today incase it happened again.
Today I pick her up and her face is bloody and scratched. Apparently she had even running down a gravel ramp and she had been told not to run. She kept doing it (so no one intervened ) and she fell flat on her face.
I'm really upset about this latest one. Why didn't someone stop her from running and guide her to the grass area?
Is this normal for a playgroup? Wibu to talk to the manager about these concerns? I don't want to be acting pfb. (Although I do have another child it was many years ago since his play school days!)

It sounds like you're not happy with the level of attention they provide so perhaps this is the wrong nursery for you?

Personally I would mention your concerns, after all you are paying them for a service. Just because they have the correct amount of key workers for the children doesn't mean the staff aren't stretched it only takes a couple of children per ratio to be more demanding than your child & yours is the one forgotten.

I'd go in and ask for a talk with them. Making sure they are meeting your DDs basic needs is essential. She's come home hungry, wet and injured. Needs addressing.

Ok I'm going for it. Forgot to mention its the only playgroup where I live so it's this or nothing, sadly.

Well I think the nappy and food problems haven't been repeated. So the issue is in the past there.

In on the fence with the gravel path as it probably happened very quickly before your DD could even be ushered on to the grass.

The hair pulling is something she might come across when mixing with other kids generally. A one off hair pull that was delt with on the spot id be ok about. Repeated hair pulling would raise my concerns hugely. I'd want to know what systems were in place.

Wrt eating, is her lunchbox easy to open, sarnies in say foil rather than clikclak type box. Fruit presegmented, or clementine pre peeled? All to make her able to nom her scram without too much hanging about for a staff member.

The rest is one offs, the running, well, restraining her is tricky, forms to fill in by the setting iirc. New eyfs.
