to have used the mobility scooter?

Went to a National Trust Property and made use of their mobility scooters to explore the gardens (they lend them out for free). I can get around on crutches - I have broken my foot - but am not infirm or disabled in any other way.

My cast was hidden under a long skirt - so I felt a few hurumphy looks sent my way. I also had a lady hurumph at me when I used the disabled loo (ladies loos had so many doors and were tricky - I am really struggling to use them.

So WIBU to use the "accessible" features with just a broken foot?

How was that? How'd I do?

Sorry Gladbags, humour fail on my part. Grin

DD1 smashed her big toe to pieces in Canada only a couple of days before we had to get on the plane to come back here. We used a wheelchair at the airport because she really couldn't walk... I don't feel guilty... well a bit...

But Hearts I was a bit bored and my parents had come to look after me. I am ENTITLED to use the scooters. I used the wheelchair at the hospital. Though I was very judgy at the fact they had to chain them to the wall and made you pay a £1 deposit to use them. Meant we had to take it back properly rather than just abandon it in the minor injuries unit.

OMG some of you are total Bitches . . Nest of vipers .

Were you schoolyard bullies per chance ??

GladbagsGold · 28/09/2013 23:11

S'OK Sunshine it would have been easier if I had actually been funny Wink

FishfingersAreOK · 28/09/2013 23:14

Thank you for my (shhh) hug ATruth.

Oh and to share with all - it is not worth getting judgy when using crutches - very difficult to get your judgy pants out of your bum whilst using crutches - tends to lead to whacking the dog on the head, thwacking your good ankle and making it very apparent what you are doing to all around.

ATruth that's very lovely and I have always liked your name too! Jane Austen has always been a favourite, got all her books and letters and lots and lots of biographies and things.

Ah, well, Fishy, you hadn't mentioned the BOREDOM before. Clearly that changes everything. YANBU.

Nice drip feed.

I'm back home, back home. Glued head.

Thanks for Fishfingers.

FishfingersAreOK · 28/09/2013 23:51

Glad you are home safe and glued.

Mobility scooters look like massive fun. I hope you went really fast and made "wheeee!" noises
