To be so ridiculously nervous

I have my driving test tomorrow dinner time. I am absolutely cacking it. I keep getting a panicky feeling in my stomach and feel like I want to throw up. The next available driving tests are not until the beginning of December and it would totally change our life if I pass my test tomorrow, but I've got this horrible feeling I'm going to fail and I don't know why.

Any tips to keep me from potentially throwing up all over the examiner would be very appreciated Grin Confused Wine

God that message makes no sense Confused

What I meant to say was I was confused to why the examiner had instantly gone for the breaks, as I had just moved off and was already half on the mini roundabout when the taxi flew round the corner and straight on to the mini roundabout.

Hmm..still doesn't make sense. Hey ho.

It's a well known fact that driving examiners wear their mums knickers and bras under their suits

Bad luck. Sad

Sorry:( That's almost exactly what happened to me first time too - examiner had to break at a roundabout. All the best drivers fail at least once!

Sorry you didn't pass, but it's very normal to not pass on the first try and you'll grow a lot in confidence before your next test.

I googled strategies for coping with my nervousness about my driving test. The strategies helped a lot - I don't remember them now but you'll find similar stuff if you search. I was very nervous still, but the strategies helped me to keep my nervousness just under control, and also not to assume I'd failed with every mistake (which as you know, snowballs so that you feel worse and make more mistakes).

If you haven't tried this already, it may help!

Good luck with your test tomorrow. I calm down when I can visualize what I am going to do and practise breathing and staying calm. I also try to think about something pleasant I will do after the unpleasant thing. Maybe that will work for you. Please let us know how it goes.

Bach Rescue Remedy

Yes it does contain a tiny bit of alcohol, but really it's negligible. It's fine o take a couple of sprays then drive.

It's brilliant for getting butterflies under control. I use it in important exams/interviews.
