...cause I can't for the life of me see where else I can post it. 'Sleep' threads are all about babies (not my problem atm). 'Health' seems to be about much more serious topics. I do end up feeling like I can't get through the day sometimes though.

Anyway, any help much appreciated.

What time do you go to bed? Is there something worrying which you wake up thinking about? Have you tried any herbal sleeping aids?

Sorry for list of questions!

Have you tried putting the radio on low? The wold service will be on Radio 4 and then there's sort of rolling news and chat on 5 live. I find that sends me straight off again.

Wow, two sleeps described me to a T

Last night I went to bed at 11. I was tired and dropped off quite quickly. Am not worried especially. I seem to have got into a habit of 4am waking. Had no alcohol last night so can't blame that. Ate the night before at 6pm so dinner was digested. I have tried Nytol and Piriton.. Which work until I stop using them but they do make me feel a bit groggy next day which I don't like

The TwoSleeps thing is interesting but I really want one long unbroken sleep :(

I have tried the radio - on my iphone under the pillow. It worked for a while - to distract me from worrying about not getting back to sleep. It seems tl have stopped working. Have also tried watching something boring on iplayer with the brightness low... out of desperation... but that's probably making things worse (though to be fair, I always fall asleep at the cinema or watching things on TV, no matter how loud or bright the screen is)

I seem to revert to two-sleeps in the second trimester, and be wide awake in the 3-5am zone. I just feel very awake for no particular reason.

What makes or breaks my tiredness level is the last section of sleep. If I wake at a good point in the sleep cycle, that overrides the sleep I did/n't have. Unfortunately I seem to be disturbed at the critical time by a succession of DH's alarm, baby's feed, and toodler waking.
