L K Bennett ankle boots leak black dye on my feet!

I don't often spend £239.00 on footwear and this time I did - from L. K Bennett. 15 days after my purchase I got sick of ruined tights and having to wash my feet after the ink dye from the black leather/sheepskin leaked profusely each time I wore them. So I called their customer service line. What did they say? 'Madam go to one of our shops and buy some spray to stop the dye leaking.' Now near in mind these are sheepskin type boots with FUR inside. How am I supposed to get the spray bottle into them and spray every part evenly is beyond me. So that's what I said. The assistant said she'd 'speak to someone' and 'call me back'. Well she hasn't and I can't get through on their phone line. It just goes to answer mode. In my opinion these boots are not fit for purpose. I have ink all over my feet and they're suggesting I douse the fur with even more chemical. What does this do to your skin I'd hate to know! They're asking me to lose half a day of my life going to their store then pay them more money for something I can use to DIY their shoes into a fit state! What is this? I thought they were a quality store but now I know... I want a refund and never will I set foot in there again. Even the cheapest of shoes has never leaked ink like that. I'm going to contact BBC Watchdog if I don't get a full refund soon. What do you all think of this?

Keep phoning, go to their shop, take photos of ruined feet, tights, socks etc. Present them with the evidence, post a complaint on their twitter/ Facebook page...
Angry Expensive rubbish

Holey Moley totally unacceptable. Even if they cost £30 I'd be back in the shop. Get your money back in the shop. They should be compensating you for the trauma of inky toes. God that could have been so embarrassing Sad

I used to work on an LK Bennet shoe shop (last century) and they would easily refund footwear with problems.
It's possibly things have changed, though.
Sadly, you'd still have to get in the shop.

Don't go for the spray "solution".
