xx Grin

noisytoys · 23/09/2013 10:58

I've noticed the x's too. They seem to go nicely with the posts written in text speak or littered with bad spelling, punctuation and grammar

FavoriteThings · 23/09/2013 11:00

The youngsters do it. They may be a nicer group than us older ones imo.

Buzzardbird · 23/09/2013 11:00

Should that be a full stop at the end of your post noisy? Grin

nocarsgo · 23/09/2013 11:01

Some people think a kiss or a lol is the same as a full stop lol xx

Buzzardbird · 23/09/2013 11:01

Ah the whipper snappers with their 'lolling' and 'what's up bruv?' Grin

candycoatedwaterdrops · 23/09/2013 11:06

I dunno hun but u do woteva feels right for u, k?? xx

noisytoys · 23/09/2013 11:08

.Grin

becsbornunderadancingstar · 23/09/2013 11:08

I do it if I mean it - if people on a thread have been particularly kind to me and I have warm fuzzy feelings towards them then I express them with a 'x'.

I never call anyone huns though, unless I'm referring to their campaign against the Eastern Roman Empire.

TediousFool · 23/09/2013 11:09

Lol and x is punctuation for people under 20.

KellyElly · 23/09/2013 11:15

I do it if I mean it - if people on a thread have been particularly kind to me and I have warm fuzzy feelings towards them then I express them with a 'x'. That's not so bad. I have just noticed people putting them in randomly, like on a thread title. They must have that lovin' feeling Grin

I have noticed it too, it's an evasion of the Huns

dawntigga · 23/09/2013 11:21

Always have done.

dysfunctionallynormal · 23/09/2013 19:15

Mmmmmm.......maybe because the rules don't state you have to write in 'proper english' with technically correct spelling, grammar, sentence construction etc..... :-D

Anyway,they look perfectly normal next to the LTB/YANBU/DC/DH/DP/OW and :-D , :-) , :-o .......

Definitely a good thing if it's silenced the nest of vipers! Lol!

Actually....wait,no! I've just posted....prepare yourself for their return! Lmao!

BOF · 23/09/2013 19:21

The guidelines do actually suggest you avoid textspeak.

I (pleasantly, I hope) pulled someone new up on kissiness this week. It's the thin end of the wedge...

usualsuspect · 23/09/2013 19:26

I have noticed lots of xxx too.

I don't like it much.

I don't mind a lol though.

Fenton · 23/09/2013 21:08

I don't mind the occasional lol.

over txspkng does rather rattle my cage though.

as does too many .........!!!!!!!!!!!????......xxxxxx

WorraLiberty · 23/09/2013 21:11

I've noticed it too lately and assumed it was something to do with Facebook...where it seems more acceptable.

It doesn't bother me and I'd never mention it on a thread

I do however silently think it makes them come across as a bit of a sap Blush

Nest0fVapors · 23/09/2013 21:17

sorry hun xx

MoreThanWords · 23/09/2013 21:22

Chaos put an x on a thread earlier today

Fenton · 23/09/2013 21:25

Did she mean it though or was it twatphone?

MoreThanWords · 23/09/2013 21:28

She thought she was texting allegedly Smile

Nombrechanger · 23/09/2013 21:28

Listen you bitches, stop with the kisses and shit or else I'll have your bloody eyes out.

X
