I have a close friend who lostt both her parents in the last 2years or so. She posted on facebook that she was looking forward to her newborn babies christening but she was sad her parents wouldn't be there.
She and her parents who passed away were regular churchgoers.
Her dh posted that he hated church and couldn't wait for it to be over.
Aibu to think this was insensitive or am i being oversensitive and hormonal having just given birth to a baby myself without the support of my own mum who passed away lasy year.

Is her 'd'h the newborn's dad? Is he always a nasty shit to her on a public forum? How rude.

YANBU
It was a very insensitive comment.
I've posted elsewhere about my MIL's total lack of empathy with me when my mum died when DD2 was 5 weeks old. Years later the little 'throwaway' comments still upset me.

Being a motherless mother is tough. I feel for you OP and your friend.

Thank you for replies. Saw her this afternoon. She seemed really happy. Either she hasn't seen it or is putting on a brave face.
