Are we an amoral nation?

How did we get to the point where authorities turn a blind eye to female genital mutilation and forced marriage?

Why did it take so long for them to take action against grooming gangs, and celebrity pervs like Jimmy Saville?

Have we lost all sense of right and wrong, and if we have, did we ever have much morality in the first place?

they don't - forced marriage and FMG is very high up on the safeguarding agenda

I would truely like to beleive this - but as there have not been any prosecutions for FMG I know that the reality is that the authorities turn a blind eye

not one single prosecution in the UK

they have prosecuted in france

ivy Believe me, they are working every hour God sends to get those prosecutions to stick.

We should, but I'm not sure what that has to do with your original post about genital mutilation, forced marriages, or pedophilia other than it being part of a heterocisnormative patriarchal society with systems that were built to create these divisions and problems and power inbalances for the good of the elite. These things have to be taken down and a part first to the foundations as everything now built onto it is affected by it.

justforlaughs - I hope you are somehow in the know and you are right - really I do hope so
