1003 messages?

Is it some kind of witchcraft?

Oh thanks, Maryz - some light bedtime reading, just the ticket Grin.

I seem to have missed a few interesting things on MN today - damn you, Full Day At Work

JulieMumsnet · 19/09/2013 22:22

@Maryz

Have you not read the thread, Pacific?

It's still there - Julie did her best early on and then just gave up and left us to it. There are more "troll-hunting" "I don't believe it" posts than I've ever seen on one thread.

It does get a bit repetitive, but the start (and many of the op's posts) are quite amusing. Not to mention the odd poem.

More troll hunting posts? Really? Thanks for the tip off.

This is the thread with the poster who supposedly withdrew her child from all Christian events and then is fumming because he's not in the NATIVITY PLAY - which apparently was cast in September.....and then then there was another thread saying she hadn't seen her friend Louise who'd told her to ask for advice here? Consensus being surely that Louise and OP are as real as Katie Hopkins' opinions?

Oh yes...Julie is....um very decisive and fair. Not at all given to deleting posts in threads about threads.

@Maryz

Oops Blush

Have I told you recently that you are my favourite mnhq-er, Julie

I bet you say that to all of the mnhq-ers.

RhondaJean · 19/09/2013 22:35

I had given up trying to surreptitiously read along at work and missed most of the Christmas and Easter not Christian posts but I did spot who it was!

PacificDogwood · 19/09/2013 22:36

Ok, I've skim-read it - I think you had to be there to get it.

In fact I started reading it 2 days ago when it started and got bored could not work up the enthusiasm to contribute.

The riddle of 'who is Louise?' will have to sustain me.
Maybe she is friends with Sharon??

Nighty-night, all.

RhondaJean · 19/09/2013 22:36

Julie.

This thread is meant to be about why on earth a thread managed to have over a thousand posts?

Not really about the other thread...but no one is listening to me.

colourmehappytheresasofainhere · 19/09/2013 22:41

I couldn't face reading the whole thread but I was mightily entertained by the notion of 'fumming'.

I just googled "fumming" Grin

This is why spelling is really important.

RhondaJean · 19/09/2013 22:59

Oooft you don't want to google fumming while eating a cream filled chocolate donut do you.

There is also a poor person on fb calle Fum Ming. Nothing wrong with that except they come up every time you google fumming eh?

I still want to know why lots of thread counters were totally out of whack yesterday.

ItIsKnown · 20/09/2013 12:28

I've known it to happen before, there's a trick to posting more than 1000 messages but I can't remember what it is now.
