to think that posters on here must be a load of rich dossers ( not moi) or lazy wasters (possibly moi)

I mean, who has the time to piddle on , day after day, on a forum. I thought having a family, working, commuting, diy, housework, gardening etc kept most people pretty busy. You lot must either be lazy, minted stay at homes with maids/housekeepers/nannies or slatternly mares with filthy homes, unkempt gardens and wonky fences (like me). Discuss with extreme vigour (might be the only exercise you get today if you've been tiddling around on the intetnet for hours). Gwan, be brutally honest.

SDTG If it's any consolation, I could have written your post. It is fucking hard, and I think many people would miss that for people like us just posting on MN is one hell of an achievement. Be proud of what you do achieve each and every day - it might not be much to others, but you know just how big a deal it is to you.

MurderOfGoths · 17/09/2013 18:29

Mogz You must say hi at some point, we don't bite too busy vomiting

hugoagogo · 17/09/2013 18:31

It really is time I did something about the fence...

Morgause · 17/09/2013 18:33

I am the epitome of the idle rich.Grin I work part time for gin money.Wink And am shopping for clothes when not mumsnetting.

SconeInSixtySeconds · 17/09/2013 18:33

I am deeply and unmentionably lazy. Slatterns have been known to faint in horror at the state of my house.

I am also crippled with a bad back at the moment but I prefer being lazy to poorly

Chattymummyhere · 17/09/2013 18:38

Well im not rich... I don't really work apart from a few emails a few times a week... I am extremely lazy though...

dirtyface · 17/09/2013 18:43

i work part time but hardly at all tbh

2 kids school age now

and theres only so much housework i can do ;)

Tapirbackrider · 17/09/2013 20:18

I'm definitely neither.

I work full time; I'm up at half six, hoover, iron, feed the dcs & myself, do dishes then either dust, mop or vacuum upstairs before I leave for work at 8.30. I work 10mins walk away, so pop home for lunch, to walk the dog and put washing out.

Dh walks the dog when he gets home from work, I'm making tea, sorting out the dcs, and any random stuff gets done then. From 7pm onwards the evening is mine, and it's spent on here, FB, and a couple of recovery groups I frequent.

I don't have a lot of friends locally, they're spread out across the world, and this is how we all keep in touch and share our lives.

I have not been working over the summer, plus no husband or family around, so reading posts ih here has been keeping me sane. I do do the odd spot of housework and I cut the grass this morning, but not much else.
This will change next week as I have a new project.

tethersend · 17/09/2013 20:49

I've got a broken shoulder, so can't do anything.

As to the last three years... Err... Well...

I've got a broken shoulder.

duckyfuzz · 17/09/2013 20:51

I've just started working from home, having been ft for years and successfully kicked the mn habit Hmm

nonmifairidere · 17/09/2013 21:36

As I am a slattern of moderate means, I feel vindicated there seem to be more of my persuasion (whilst envying the rich dossers, of course). I do have ME, but my lazy mare-ishness definitely predates its onset. Quentin Crisp said if you don't dust for four years it doesn't get any worse - he'd have been a great MNer.

MN was great for me when we moved areas, just lurking on threads and occasionally posting, when I was still nervous at the school gate was great. And thanks to Woolly Hugs I got to meet some lovely ladies -looking at you SDT

Would class myself in the lazy wasters category Grin

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/09/2013 21:47

A Slattern of Moderate Means - I shall be adopting that as my title, forthwith! Grin
