To think they should buy their own village shop?

Got asked to donate (at Feastival) to help the villagers of Bledington to build a village shop.

Now if Bledington were somewhere impoverished, I might have considered it, but it is a very lovely Cotswold village and the lady collecting counted Jeremy Clarkson and Prue Leith as nearby residents.

Am I becoming old and bitter?

I couldn't live there, just couldn't. It's not even that we wouldn't fit in. On the surface of it we would, but it would be so stifling....and I would miss the ambulances whizzing past, the Police helicopters and the hoodies.
